In an endeavor to provide quality service to students, the Student Affairs department was set up under the Registrar’s Office, to assist students with respect to their applications for seats at the University of Technology, Mauritius.
Gradually, the services offered have been extended to include guidance and counseling, welfare, coordination of students’ extracurricular activities, organization of students’ events and activities in collaboration and with support of the Student Union.
The department also assists the respective schools with student's placement in the industry. It is also involved with the formalities for the implementation of Need-Based and Merit-Based scholarship for students in the public and private sectors.
The Student Affair's department equally coordinates the sharing and dissemination of student information between the different schools, Central Administration, Tertiary Education Institutions, the Central Statistical Office, the Tertiary Education Commission and potential employers of the public and private sectors.
