The BA (Hons) Communication and Digital Media (Revised Programme) has been designed in response to the rapidly evolving changes in the communication and media industry. Students will be equipped with both theoretical and practical skills which will allow them to understand the dynamism of this competitive and creative industry. The programme offers a comprehensive and engaging curriculum designed to explore the multifaceted perspectives of the communication industry. Students will also learn techniques for video production, photography, graphic design, and digital marketing to keep abreast with the rapidly evolving landscape of digital media. Through a blend of theoretical coursework and practical application, students explore various aspects of communication theory, journalism, corporate communication, social media marketing, and digital communication

Objectives

acquire comprehensive knowledge of communication theories, concepts and strategies;
gain the knowledge and skills to use digital communication technologies to convey messages across digital platforms and social media channels;
cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, empowering students to apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios within the communication and digital media industry;
encourage students to integrate communication skills and innovative approaches into their research projects and assignments, encouraging creativity and exploration of emerging trends within the field;
promote collaborative learning experiences, emphasising the importance of cooperation, and mutual respect among peers

Requirements

  • Applicants should satisfy the University’s General Entry Requirements for admission.
  • As per Admission to Programmes of Study at Degree Level which should not be less than either of the following:
  • • (i) EITHER Pass in:
  • • Three subjects at A-level and one subject at subsidiary level at Higher School Certificate Examination;
  • (ii) OR Pass in:
  • • Two subjects at A-level and two subjects at subsidiary level at the Higher School Certificate Examination;
  • (iii) OR Pass in:
  • • Three subjects at A-level at the London General Certificate Examination.
  • • (iv) OR other alternative qualifications in lieu of above-mentioned qualifications
