With rapid economic, technological, climatic and legislative changes occurring around the globe and in the local context, occupational safety and health as well as environmental issues have expanded in importance in various sectors of employment. There is now a pressing demand for Safety and Health professionals with the right skills in managerial positions to successfully mitigate the challenges faced by organisations. Occupational safety, health and environment are the building blocks for successful and sustainable businesses. Ensuring workers’ safety and health while also taking environmental aspects into consideration will mean constructing the necessary infrastructure for social and economic sustainability for organisations, already operating under challenging circumstances.

Requirements
- Applicants should satisfy the University’s General Entry Requirements for admission.
- (i) A Honours degree from a recognized University
- Or
- (ii) An approved professional qualification recognised as being equivalent to a honours degree by the Academic Council.
- Or
- (iii) An Ordinary Degree or a non-honours degree from a recognized University with at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field which demonstrates that a candidate possesses appropriate knowledge and skills at a standard acceptable by the Academic Council.
