The University of Technology, Mauritius is proud to have been an integral part of all phases of the Technology Enabled Learning (TEL) initiative, working closely with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) to drive digital transformation in higher education. Through our active participation, we have successfully developed 20 fully-fledged Open Educational Resources (OERs), which have been effectively delivered to our students, enhancing their learning experience and access to quality education.
The launch of Phase 4 on Thursday, 20th February 2025 marks another milestone, focusing on developing guidelines for regulating AI in higher education. The Deputy Director, Dr. Kavi Khedo, was honored to be part of the panel discussion during the Phase 4 launch event, where he shared valuable insights on the integration of AI in education. His intervention emphasized the potential of AI-driven tools in personalizing learning experiences, enhancing student engagement, and supporting educators in curriculum development while ensuring ethical and responsible AI implementation.
