Research Interest

The main research areas in which I contributed include economic growth and economic development, the Mauritian economy, Foreign Direct Investment, Food Security, Gender and Politics, Education and Human Capital, Science, Technology and Innovation (STI). In terms of consultancy I have been involved in projects relating to vulnerable employment, women empowerment, and export promoting strategies. My ongoing working papers are particularly focused on impact of Covid-19 on the Mauritian Economy, Finance & Technology (FinTech) and Illicit International Finance (IIF).
