A penalty of 10% of all fees payable shall be applicable to all payments effected within one month of deadline, after which no payments shall be accepted. Students will be allowed to sit for examination and results will be withheld for those having outstanding fees.

Penalty Fees
Late payment by students: a penalty fee of 10% will be applied for payment effected after the deadline. payment of either general fee or tuition fee or penalty fee will not be entertained beyond one (1) month after the deadline and the students will not be allowed to:(i) sit for those exams; or
(ii) carry out the activity related to the payment not made
Resit Fee
Rs 800/- per moduleStudents who fail to pass in 3 attempts will be allowed to resit the module during the permissible course duration as per programme document / UTM’s Regulations.
Amount payable:
Resit fee: Rs 3000/- per attempt
General fee: Rs 4,000/- for every semester beyond which the resit has not yet been cleared
Extension for submission of dissertation exceeding the normal duration of a programme study
For Mauritian students:General Fees : Rs 4,000/- per semester Student Union fees: Rs 200/-per year Dissertation fee of Rs6,300/- per semester
For International students:
General Fees :USD 200/- per Year Student Union fees: USD 10/- per year Dissertation fee: USD 500/-
Fees for MPhil/PhD Research Degree
MPhil /PhD students: Rs 83,200 per year inclusive of General and Student Union Fees.
Students will be automatically deregistered in case the maximum duration has lapsed.
Non-refundable application fees
For Mauritian students : Rs 1,000/-For International students : US$ 50/-
Appeal Fee
Rs 3,000/- per module(Refundable, if Appeal is successful) Appeal on academic grounds against coursework marks/grades, except for modules assessed by 100% coursework, shall not be entertained.
