 Her research interests are related to HRM, Gender and HRM, gender advancement and achievement of organizational success. She has attended several international conferences and published several papers in several peer reviewed journals.  She had participated in the Second International Conference on Advances in Social Science, Economics and Management Study- SEM 2014, UK, organised by the Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts to a common forum (16-17 November) held at Birmingham University, UK, where she presented a paper titled ‘Achieving organisational success by the advancement of gender to reach top positions in modern day contemporary workplaces: Can Human Resource Management (HRM) offer this much needed panacea?’ This paper was very well received by academics and industrial experts from various countries. This paper received the Best Paper Award and was published in the Seek digital library Thereafter this paper titled ‘Achieving organisational success by the advancement of gender to reach top positions in modern day contemporary workplaces: Can Human Resource Management (HRM) offer this much needed panacea?’ was published in ‘International Journal of Business and Management Study’ – IJBMS   2015.

She participated in the International Conference on Contemporary Mauritius organised by the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGI), Mauritius Research Council (MRC) and University of Technology Mauritius (UTM) (14-16 September 2011) ‘The need for contemporary Mauritius to move towards an HRM framework that favors the progression and advancement of gender’ This paper was published in the conference proceedings in the digital library and in a  CD

She participated in the International Conference on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion held in Vienna (16-18 April 2010) and presented a paper on ‘Exploring the unequal status of women in the HRM domain in the U.K and U.S’ that was published in the conference proceedings. Thereafter this paper titled ‘The Advancement of Women to Top Management Positions in the Human Resource Management Domain: A time for Change?’  was published in the ‘International Journal of Business & Social Science’- (IJBSS) 2011

She participated in the 10th International Business Research Conference (16-17 April 2009), held at Dubai and presented a research paper ‘Globalisation and its influence on Strategic Human Resource Management. The paper had been published in the conference proceedings. This paper was published in the online journal International Review of Business Research Papers

She has written various articles on contemporary issues in the leading newspaper, Le Mauricien and a magazine article for the Association of Human Resource Professionals, Mauritius that are as below

v)                   She has also contributed in a magasine article titled ‘Nurturing women’s managerial potential to reach top positions and achieve business success: Can HRM be the answer? for the prestigious Association of Human Resource Professionals of Mauritius (2013).

 

As her research interest are strongly based on women’s empowerment and leadership. She has most recently developed a research project on developing women’s leadership competencies. In   this context, she has organised workshops for women in leadership for the administrative cadre of the University of Technology. Already two workshops have been organised and have been received positively by the attendees. These Women in Leadership workshops are aimed at empowering and developing leadership capabilities and competencies that would subsequently propel them to the fore-front. This workshop involves the development of a Personal development plan that will enable them to achieve their goals towards becoming future leaders and the best versions of themselves in work, family and society. Women in Leadership Workshop organized for the administrative cadre of the University of Technology

She has also won several international awards and most of these awards have been on a competitive basis with a jury panel

East Africa Leadership Awards 2020 for Best Professor in Management under the aegis of the World Education Congress (Award attached)
