Ms Seebaluck is a double Masters degree holder In Air Transport Management from the prestigious School of Aeronautics, Cranfield University, UK and an MSc International Management from Oxford Brookes University, UK. She also holds a BA (Hons) Business Administration and Management and Tourism Management also from Oxford Brookes. Joining UTM in January 2003, with almost 20 years of teaching experience, Ms Seebaluck, has a firmly grounded expertise in Tourism and Communication. A multidisciplinary academic she lectures a number of modules at Master level such as Managing tourism organization, Corporate social responsibility and sustainability amongst others. At undergraduate level, Ms Seebaluck keenly engages students to learn by doing in modules such as Conference and Events Management, Human Resource Management in Tourism, Travel Management and Public speaking. She also supervises and has supervised dissertations at undergraduate and masters level and even helped her students to publish their research findings (e.g. Last two links above). At School and department level, Ms Seebaluck has various administrative duties such as Programme coordinatorship and is the LMS for foreign language coordinator at the level her department. She works with her colleagues in updating and introducing new programmes of study at the level of School and serves of a member of the School Board and on various committees across the University, the latest being involved in developing the Alumni for UTM. An active researcher, Ms Seebaluck has co-authored several research articles which have been published in peer reviewed journals as well as presented several research papers at International Conferences in areas of tourism, communication and employability. With her co-authors, she has won several best papers awards. Her recent publications and conference attended are: Exploring Work Placement Experience: Case of The University of Technology, Mauritius In The People: International Journal of Social Sciences ISSN 2454-5899 and Using the Swot Approach to Analyze The Medical Tourism Sector In Mauritius; Challenges And Opportunities presented online at the 5th International Conference Business, School of Sustainable Development and Tourism Department of Tourism, Leisure and Services our passport picture size here Tourism and Technology 2021where she even was awarded best presenter. Ms Seebaluck is also actively involved is different funded researcher projects at the University as well as the locally based research projects in areas of Agri-tourism, student work readiness for the tourism industry. Ms Seebaluck values the UTM and is currently enrolled as a PhD student in the area of Tourism and Safety.
