Mr Mirnal Mungra holds a B.Eng (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Mauritius (UOM), a MSc in Project Management for Sustainable Development from University of Technology Mauritius (UTM) and a MEngSci in Photovoltaics & Solar Energy from University of New South Wales (UNSW Australia). He is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Council of Registered Professional Engineers (CRPE) – Mauritius and an Associate Member of the Energy Institute (AMEI). He is also a Certified Energy Auditor from the Association of Energy Engineers (USA).

Prior to joining the UTM, he worked as Principal Engineer in Mechanical & Electrical Section of the Central Water Authority. He also carried out research on the optimisation of the performance and cost of silicon PV modules by substituting Silver by Copper as the conducting layer in the metal grid at UNSW. His current professional and research interests/activities include:

• Performance modelling, Degradation, Recycling, and Life Cycle Assessment of PV modules and systems
